is it really worth it?

first of all, i'd like to say that i am no expert on this situation and nor am i highly involved in politics. in actuality, i think it is a waste of time, saliva and breath. arguing about politics is like arguing about Pepsi and Coke. it'll never end. so i am not going to argue about it. i am going to tell it as i see it. any type of arguments you make will only serve to increase my ire and heartache so i beg of you, don't even think about it.

well, the day that a huge lot of malaysians were looking forward to finally came. the day of bersih rally. there were people who felt that it was a good idea and there are some-like me- who think that it was a stupid thing to do. i ask of you to take only 5 minutes of your life and think carefully, does politic bersih really exist? is it a possibility? hell no. this is democracy, not sistem khalifa. so what do you freaking expect?

but Yang, the thing is, bersih is actually fighting for a better future, a better government. a non-corrupt system where the voice of the rakyat is really heard. seriously? when you want to be heard and be taken seriously, do you scream bloody murder? do you stand on a chair, thump your fists into the ground and go all out on a tantrum? your not five. so you don't do that. you have a discussion with the people who can make a change and ride it out. the thing is, bukan dh discuss ngn SPR? dah kan? and honestly, changes can't be made overnight. it doesn't work that way.

even the Agong tells us that we shouldn't have had a demonstration because it was a bad idea. menderhaka semuanya. way to go. people say that i am stupid, that i can't see that equality can be attained. you know what? i don't fucking think so. give me one country where ALL the races have equal rights. just one to prove me wrong. and you will find none. if it is not the ruler, then it is the people. then you will say, 'let us be the first country to do this, to make the impossible happen'. all i can do is smile for it makes me happy to know that such a person exists. a person that is untouched by the realities of the world.

don't you all see what is happening? we did not need the children, mothers, elderly, to be detained, hurt, beaten, gassed. we did not need to spend millions on water guns. fuck, it should've gone to the poor. aren't we all guilty of that? aren't we all blind. they say the police started it. are you stupid? you ALL started it. every single one of you. when thousands of angry people get together, what do you expect? it's a freaking time bomb. so volatile that one wrong move will end in chaos. there is no such thing as perhimpunan aman. we all know this deep down. you are all not that stupid, i gather.

and so people, have you read all the foreign media? have you? and i gather that most of you were there. so, are they telling the world the truth. was it okay for them to replace 'Egypt' with 'Malaysia'? is it all true? that Malaysia is the next Egypt? if it is, then all of us are royally screwed. next thing we know, a certain country will be giving us 'aid' and taking over our country.

a very ironic thing happened to me at a Pâtisserie today, the cashier, a makcik on the other counter and another lady behind me all said they have been to Malaysia. this has never happened to me (cause most mat sallehs don't even know where Malaysia is), and i was so elated. but that only lasted for a few seconds before i realized that the next time they return to Malaysia, it would not be the country that they have remembered it as.
